Everything you've written, across every page, in one searchable place.

The dock shows you one page at a time. The dashboard shows you all of them.

TODO — this page needs a screenshot more than any other. Describing a list view in prose is a losing game.

Opening it

Either the grid icon in the dock, or Open Dashboard in the toolbar popup. It opens in its own tab, and reuses that tab if one is already open rather than piling up duplicates.

Opening it from the dock filters it to the site you were on. Clear the filter with the amber chip near the top, or All sites in the sidebar.

Two views

Pages groups your notes by the page they’re on. Each card shows the page title, its address, how many notes it holds, and when you last wrote one. Expand a card to see the notes themselves.

Timeline ignores pages and lays every note out by day, newest first, so you can retrace what you were reading on Tuesday.

Sort either view by newest, oldest, or — in Pages — by domain.

Narrowing it down

The sidebar has three tools:

  • Type — all notes, only stickies, or only thread notes
  • Sites — every domain you’ve written on, with a count. Click to filter.
  • Activity — twelve weeks of note-taking as a heatmap

⌘ + K (or Ctrl + K) jumps to the search box. Results replace both views with a flat list, matches highlighted.

Search covers note text and page addresses. It does not search page titles — a note on a page called “Quickstart” won’t match the word quickstart unless you wrote it in the note or it’s in the URL.

Esc clears the search.

Working with a note

Click any note to open it. The modal gives you the full editor plus:

  • Copy — the note with its page address
  • Export — Markdown, HTML, or plain text
  • Share — the system share sheet, falling back to copying the text
  • Visit page — opens the page in a tab, reusing an existing one if it’s already open. For an anchored note, it scrolls to the note and flashes it.
  • Delete — asks for confirmation

Edits show revert and save buttons as soon as the text differs.

Exporting a whole page

The export button on a Pages card opens a formatted, self-contained HTML page with every note from that address — good for sending to someone or saving alongside your own notes. See Getting your notes out.

Refreshing

The dashboard reloads its data when you switch back to its tab, so notes you took in another tab show up on return. The refresh button forces it.
